I was wondering and I'm sure others have thought about this. It's easier to find these old cars in the salvage yards with bench seats. Can the bench seat tracks be used on bucket seats? Is there any similarities between the bench and bucket tracks? I'm working with '70 style a body buckets in a duster. Just curious if anyone else has done this or tried.

The bench seat tracks are completely different. Even as part donors, creating bucket seat tracks from those parts will cost more than buying reproduction tracks. Been there tried that.

Hey, thankyou. I'm glad you had experience with this as I'm sure I wasn't on to the next best idea since sliced bread , but you never know sometimes. I saw the repros and will end up getting these once the seats are recovered. Thxs a bunch!

yup just wait for a set of bucket tracks to show up and jump on them

You're welcome. I'm going to add this just for the sake of saying...
If you have first generation bucket seat tracks there would be a lot less fab work involved to convert those to 2nd gen A bucket seat tracks.
The positive note, there wouldn't be any plastic parts that might fail.
The negative note, You would need examples of the later model tracks you are converting to.
