I currently have a bench seat in my 72 Dart, I want to get some bucket seats. Dart seats are too hard to find without spending a fortune and then having recover them even when you do.
My question is what other car bucket seats fit a Dart that would look decent, Mustang etc.?
What do you have in your car? any pictures would be helpful.

Thank you in advance

Recaro, Corbeau, Procar, and LMI all have aftermarket brackets to fit their seats into A bodies. Anything OEM and not made for an A body will need some sort of modification to fit. Mission 1 is find a seat that fits you, then see if it fits the car the way you want to drive.

Thank you for the reply Those are some expensive seats, trying to save some money as my car is not a show car. Don't mind making some mods to make them fit.

I gotta throw my vote to keeping the bench seat but heck yeah buckets will look good too!

I would like to keep my hounds tooth bench especially since my back seat is mint. I need to find that house ds tooth seat cover and ho pool fully not spend $1500?

I spent some time watching Craigslist and other local stuff.
Bought a set of buckets from a 2005 Scion TC. Nice shape, decent bolstering on the sides so I can go around corners without sliding around like on the old bench. Got the pair for $200. On my phone now, but I'll try to post pics later.

This is a great thread but watch the sale offers guys. It's not a sale thread or a wanted thread for that matter. The OP can start a wanted thread in the proper forum.

That's a big ONM.

Look around for Chrysler Sebring convertible buckets. Many are power, have lumbar supports and have built in shoulder harnesses. They aren't too tall either.

One of the members on here is running 09 mustang seats in his demon, don't remember his name though. Seats looked really nice in the car

I will look tomorrow when I go to the yard.
I wondered about PT Cruiser seats as well. They have stands for bases like our seats do. They are comfy and adjustable. (and they are Mopar)

I just installed these in my cuda. 2015 Dodge Dart seats $30 each at pick and pull

I like those seats thank you for the picture..
I had to modify my new floor pan for these to fit. I outlined it in my build thread with pics. A little cutting and welding involved

I just went back to get the rear seats. I don't think they will fit but my plan is to save the matching material and have an upholstery shop use it on my old rear frames.

How do I find your thread?

I just got back from my local yard they have a good set out of a Sebring that looked pretty good. I can get them for $40 each. I am considering them as well.

@MileHighDart How much floor pan work was needed for these?
Well, I kinda went about it the hard way. I sliced and diced the ramps in the floor where the bench used to sit, flatteniit out and welded it back together. Cause I wanted the seats to sit as low as possible.
But if had it to do over again, I would just build a frame out of 1x1 tubing and adapt the seat to the floor. I'm thinking right now about raising them up an inch or so.

I too used seats out of a Scion TC to replace my worn-out, ratty looking bench. When I was walking through the junkyard to see what they had I was very surprised to learn most newer cars have either beige or gray interiors; surprisingly black was quite the odd ball. So luckily they had a 2004 Scion TC with black seats with blue centers, which worked for me.

I decided to use 1-1/2 square tube to make mounting points rather then cut up the floors. The driver's side was pretty straight forward and there was enough room to avoid the bench seat hump. Doing so also put the seat on center with the steering wheel.

The passenger side however had less room (about 18" vs. 20") and there was no way to avoid mounting the square tube onto the hump.

The damn hump is also on a greater angle than the rest of the floor, so I had to make up the difference between the inner seat rail and the square tube.

So the end result is that the passenger seat wound up sitting slightly higher and slightly more reclined than the driver's seat. But it's actually not noticeable at all and sitting in the seat it's still perfectly comfortable.

My costs were $70 for the seats and $16 for 4' of the 1-1/2 tube steel, a short piece of 1-1/2" x 1/8" flat steel, and some 5/16-18 fasteners to bolt the mounting tubes to the floors. And yes, I put in new front floor pans while I was at it.
