Ok, When I took my Barracuda in trade, I was told it had a 451 in it. Of course I had to go through everything before I'd drive it, so the fact that the engine was/is a 451 was verified. However, for some reason that I cannot understand, the assembly is based on all cast/factory parts. Cast 440 crank, counterweights and journals taken down to fit the 400 block, Keith Black 215 pistons, .030" over and factory 400 rods with the beams polished and fitted with ARP bolts. Not necessarily bad, but not suitable for what I had in store, so the engine was disassembled and stored for years. Low and behold, somewhere along the way.....life happens and my project has stalled and been stalled for far too long. Being completely out of money and unable to finish my 517 how I want it done, I decided to re-assemble the 451 and at least have some fun with the car while the big motor is slowly finished up. I cleaned everything up nicely and today and as I was running a brush hone through the cylinders, I noticed a pretty significant gouge right at the top of the bore in 1 cylinder. It's pretty deep and I'm not sure, in fact I'm positive, taking it out to .040" over won't clean it up and quite honestly, even an .060" overbore might not do it. Basically, it is highly likely that the block is junk. Now I'm left with this rotating assembly that I have no use for. I know that this particular set-up isn't all that desirable, but for someone who may have a block laying around and wants to put together a healthy street motor, this might be a good option. I'd take no issue with and I'm sure others would agree that there'd be no issue building something in the 500 hp range using this stuff. That being said, if anyone's interested in it I'd be willing to let it go for $600 plus shipping. That's the whole rotating assembly for what the pistons cost alone. I only have pics of the crank right now after I did a quick polish on the journals, but I'll get some others of the pistons and rods tomorrow. Any questions, feel free to ask. Oh and sorry for the world's longest for sale post!

A good quality balance job will have that cast crank withstanding 500 plus HP. Also, that block can be sleeved, so it's hardly junk. Just some FYI.
