Somebody won a big lawsuit.
 
It seems she was given a second chance...sadly the article says, she ended up taking her life a few years later anyways....sad.

Never know, if she decided to sue the hospital....things might have turned around for her....never can tell.
 
On the side of the Devil's Advocate, I'm not sure that webpage is what I'd consider a primary news source.

I know a few EMTs that have given me horror stories. I'm for organ donation, but you wouldn't catch me dead, literally, with a Y on my drivers license. I have an emergency contact list behind my DL that has contacts who have notary signed permission regarding the subject.
