Hi, I recently tore down a 340 short block I just bought to rebuild for my duster, it had a 294/510 cam in it with solid lifters. I had already purchased a xe 268 H cam and a 1000 over tci converter for the 904. My question is can i run the bigger cam with the converter I have and can I run the solid lifters(they are like new)? MY heads are Xheads with stock rockers? (Don't you have to have adjustable rockers for solids?) Can I run this cam with the hydraulic lifters I bought for the XE 268? any help will be appreciated, thanks walt

PS went to carlisle today and cost me 500.00  carpet, wheel trim, gas and food

Solid cams need adjustable rockers otherwise you can adjust the lash. You can reuse your solid cam and lifters if you marked were the lifters cam out. Otherwise you need new lifters. You cant use hyd lifters with a solid cam.

If the converter you bought is a street fighter it will be fine for the solid cam.
