Hi all. Comp cams has recommended with the engine builder for the cam attached. This is going in a 408 running 6 to 8 psi boost 2.02 smog heads running 8.4 static comp. Planned for a 2200 stall convertor and 3.54 dana 60 rear. Street driven.

I'm looking for advice or experience with this cam.

Thanks.

I don't think that is near enough cam for your setup. I really don't like the separation and centerline numbers. My 340 has a custom cam in it from Steve Morris Racing. The numbers are something like .565 lift and [email protected] duration and a 112 centerline. Although mine is a little much for the street I can handle it and it sure is fun. I guess what I am getting at is you might want to ask some people that really know blower cams before you decide what to go with.

I agree with Coyote. Why is your valve lift so low? Are your springs maxed out at .500? I've got a Comp Cam in my blown 408 and I have a 110 intake C/L and 114 separation. You don't want overlap when trying to build boost. Also, is this on a Magnum or LA block? Because the year range in that cam card is for two completely different oiling styles for cams.

The engine is just being built now. 2 different cam recs from hughes and complete but both are on the low lift side. I believe I'm going to reach out to Steve Morris racing. The cam card above is wrong after confirming with my builder. He had the wrong number. Same lift but lsa is 114
