Hello everyone!

Build a 360-V8 engine (Magnum) for Drag Race and wanted a stronger Camshaft. Currently, use of a CompCam (CCA-20-758-9), but wanted a stronger camshaft. The Camshaft is Mechanical Roller, for a Small Block "Magnum" 5.9L. If you can show me another Camshaft stronger, giving me the Part Number, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks a Lot!

Whew, big cam. Well, depending on the cars perameters and just how the engineis built, I could probably recomend something. But your build and set up were left out. I'm in the dark.
1/4 mile racing?

Take a look below at the sites listed.

So, the engine as I said, it's a Mopar Small Block 360-V8 (5.9L Magnum.) Use Edelbrock Performer RPM heads extensively modified, Compression Ratio of 14.0:1, Intake Manifold Mopar M1 Single Plane, Demon 925 CFM carb (methanol), MSD Ignition! The car is a Dodge Dart, with a total weight (including the pilot) of 1.110 Kg. Best time in 1/4 mile was 9.9s@215 km/h.

I know these heads are not the most suitable for my engine, but even so, I put another Camshaft stronger. I have looked on the sites you sent, but could not find anything. If you can find and pass the Part Number, would be very important to me!

Thanks a lot!! :snakeman::snakeman:

what are the cam specs on the one you have , i can spec you a custom threw comp that will pick up 30 hp but you do relize springs and coil bind locks retainers valve to piston etc will play a big part on what you can get away with.

I asked him for all of this and I get jack back in return. Considering he's claims 9.90's, he's movinit really good. To seriously recomend a better cam, total discloserue of the cars info would be needed.

Read about what little specs he gave.

Thanks for your help!

Actually, I really want is just to do an experiment because I have another engine ready to run, a Mopar 360 Stroker (408 CID) at INDY heads and everything done the right way. I will run the last time with the 360, and then I notice the time of the car in 1/4 mile.

Thanks again for your help, as this Forum has been my survival guide.

I do not know how to put pictures of my Dodge here, so if anyone wants to see pictures of my Mopar, just send me an email that I return with photos!

I would think you'd be best served by either calling or e-mailing Comp, Lunati, Hughes, etc. directly. I know Comp has a form on their website that you can fill out and they'll get back to you with a cam recommendation.
