I picked up a 4 door Dart that has a 440 with dual quads and a 727 reverse valve body. I'm putting a 8 3/4 sure grip rear end with some decent tires so it can 'hook up". I'm thinking sleeper, or is it just stupid? Thanks for the feed back...

hell yes.. nothing says HA HA like getting your *** handed to you by a guy driveing a more door

Yes!!
I have seen a few more door Dart/Valiant make great hot rod's
badge it 440 + 4 Mopar

sure will, if your that worried about it shave the rear doorhandles

As the saying goes "Four doors fits more whores". In all seriousness, the best kind of hotrod is one you enjoy. Big part of why I love more doors is many consider them "too common" so they tend to be cheaper to buy and you dont feel bad making whatever mods you want to the car as you arent "ruining" some rare high value car.

This is a friends 4 door.

Old man and his wife in town drive around a pea green '73 4 door as their only transportation, ive asked him about it before and he says he dropped in a built up 360 and 8 3/4 with 3.55 gears 30+ years ago!! got to crawl around it last week.....sure enough 8 3/4 and a pretty tricked 360...bucket seats out of a 70s van... no one else even gives it a second look in town.

Excellent feedback! Thanks to all. My Dart is a '71. I'll post pics soon.. Cheers!

No its cant .. You just need to sell it to me . You can not have a 4 door go fast its just not done . Ok i got my smart *** out of me lol Really tho heck yes you can !

Nice B-bod more door.

I like mine, too.

To the OP, the last time I drove my '69 Sport Satellite four door was when I was a kid. I terrorized the county with it. Lot of Camaro and Mustang owners would see me coming and take side streets. Rusty, red oxide primer. Factory 383 4bbl/727/8.75 w/3.55 Sure Grip. The stories I could tell of baiting people with that car and then leaving them sitting.

Then the M-body four door in my signature. For a little while it was a my wife's car and the fun she'd have dusting off Fox bodies and 3rd Gen Camaros with it. Oh, those are fun stories to share, but I digress...

Go for it, bud. A nice big block powered A-body four door will leave a lot of people scratching their heads. And don't even raise the hood when they want to know what's in it. Tell 'em it's a 318 two barrel and watch 'em turn green.

YES!!!

I been trying to pick up a more door for the little women from a friend. Use it as the "grocery getter" and since we have 2 kids its easier to cram them in when needing to go for a drive but want to be old school.

I've said it for years and nobody will listen, there will be a time when 4 door mopars are popular. Everyone strips them for parts already but think about it. Right now you see 100 two door darts for every 1 four door. Give it 10 - 15 more years you will see 1000 to 1.

If I had a family I'd be all about building up a 4 door sleeper. You could put any part you wanted on it and as long as you didn't put flashy rims and tires on it nobody would give it a second thought until you beat em

4 DOORS ARE WAY COOL, put a sticker on the back window that says, MINE HAS MORE DOORS!

My son and I are putting together a 71 Valiant 4-door with a nice little street 360 4 bbl. 727 with an 8 3/4 with 3.91 gears.

I like the plain jane sleeper look. No engine size advertisement at all. They'll find out soon enough....

Nothing says sleeper like a more door... I have always thought more door cars were cool.. I have often thought of getting a more door Valiant like the one Dennis Weaver drives in the movie 'Duel' and putting a small block stroker in it.. and leaving the outside totally stock (with the exception of some bigger meats under the *** end lol) ... oh what fun that would be..

4 doorsssssssssssssssss more room for HOT MOPAR BABESssssssssssssssssssss, just dont tell tar
