Wow, cool. Still, weird that 65 is easier to decode though. I almost wish they kept the codes the same. Lol

I would order the build card from Chrysler Historical
http://wpchryslermuseum.org/page.aspx?pid=501

prior to 66 they are different coding regardless to what is said. It would help me if you gave me a basic run down of what you know is on the car they did some package groups. wiper var spd, does this have a padded dash and reverse lights, radio, P/S, A/C?

I believe it has variable speed wipers, an am radio (not sure actually because the original radio is gone), standard side view mirror, reverse lights, its a slant six with a 3 speed manual trans. Red with red vinyl seats, no dash pad, no a/c, manual steering.

that will help a lot really. going to doctor and will see what I can find when I get back. there is a package contained and the trans code goes where I thought. just though 3 speed column was weird in a wag.

0106 = Jan 6th 1964 as stated
5375 Order number assigned
BDY - 156 = Valiant v-100 6-cyl 4 door wagon 2 seat.
T - L = Low trim grade.
R - 4 = vinyl bench seat
M - R = Red upper door frame color

PNT - PP1 Ruby/ Valiant Red monotone paint.

code 431 all windows tinted standard except when deleted in glass column
code 432 - tint windshield only
Note: if entire accessory group is not desired, individual item(s) may be ordered

code 323 radio basic group -
code 361 - radio transaudio w/ antenna (am)
code 385 - heater w/ defrost
code 428 - windshield washer - duel jet
code 429 - windshield wiper - variable speed
code 481 - Mirror - outside left - manual
code 492 - Mirror day/night - inside rear view

code 325 = deluxe accessory group -
code 451 - Deluxe wheel covers,
code 423 - backup light,
code 415 padded dash (delete)

A - 1 = code
C - 2 = code 392 = Transmission-3-speed manual column shift
H - 1 = code =
L - 5 = code 325 = deluxe accessory group - wheel covers, backup light, padded dash (delete)
P - P = code 411 = seat belt front only (color keyed) P = red (seems sensible?)
S - 3 = code 423 = Back up lights w/o applique v-100 only (part of dex acc group)
W - 1 = code 451 = deluxe wheel covers (part of dex acc group)

does this look somewhat correct?

And the Chrysler Historical society are very helpful speaking with them on the phone. I spoke with them and they send me everything in relation to my 64 Signet one could ask for...

Yes agreed, the ibm card is much more detailed than the fender tag and since both the broadcast and fender tags are created from this card. The cost is reasonable especially if keeping the car.
