Can I put a vinyl head liner in my 74 Scamp

Hi, everyone! My 74 Scamp has a "hard" head liner in it - made of heavy cardboard or something similer? Anyway, is there somewhere I can get the bows and put a regular vinyl head liner in it? Or is the roof not designed for the regular head liner bows? Anyone know?

My Scamp has the board headliner in it also.I really don't know if there made to put a regular perforated headliner in them.
Before you tear yours out see if you can find one at a junkyard and pull it down to see how it's made first before you destroy yours.
The reason i say to do this is because NO ONE is making reproduction cardboard headliners.
 
Hi, Evil. Yeah, I haven't been able to locate any hard head liners. I'll have to do some checking, like you say, try and find one in a junk yard and pull it apart and see what's there. Do you know what I would be looking for?, assuming I could locate one with a card board head liner?
