can you say ......wild!?

I can't imagine what that would cost as a conversion...........And it doesn't look too safe in a side on crash............

BUT, pretty neat..............8)

Ever had a power window motor go out while the window was down???
Imagine the door being stuck down........

Hmmm,
Door repair step one,
Remove floor.......
Mass produced cheap out would probably have it driven with a nylon gear and/or a nylon flex strip like a late model power window. Just wait till that strips out.............
Manual override, a small knob in the trunk that cramps your hand getting the door back up after an hour of turning.....
Wait! What if the door sticks in the up position???????

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.....

......hahahahaha
I think the way they tried to make it seem so sophisticated was the best part

Nice trick. I love it. Mech. breakdowns happen. Thats life. The only really sucky part is when it rains like a Mutha! Better have the umbrella out fast.

I can see the door being OK in low to moderate speed crashs. If theres enuff lip/overlap between the door and car body, you'll be good. I just wonder what the feds and there Hwy. saftey board will say?
