Can't go to a store and buy a CD anymore

My wife's birthday is Monday. i Heard Pete Townshend had a new best of disk out. She likes his music so I thought this would be an easy one. WRONG! Went to Best Buy, nope. Went to Books a million. Nope. Can only get it through Amazon. Of coarse I can't get it by Monday. I miss record stores.:banghead:
 
No more cd's? No wonder why some butt heads took my favorite cd's from my wifes car the other night..
 
You can probably burn one from Youtube with all her favorites....
 
CDs make so much clutter and take too much space and get scratched and are expensive to find and replace.

downloads to an MP3 player the size of a postage stamp that can be connected to most car and home systems now.......MP3s can back up by the thousands on an external drive the size of a paperback book, and never lose sound quality, never skip when bumped and always be there. :evil3:
 
Where do you live?

What about FYE or a used disc reseller.

I looked and couldn't find a recent release of Pete Townsend greatest hits (Last one in 96)...


Maybe it's just another "remaster"...

Makes me want to go to the basemant and clean away. Some where in that mess is my old amp and record collection. 2 turntables and a cassette/8 track player. Dust it off, clean the heads and the records and have at it. Where can I get a blank cassette. I hated those! I could never figure out which side I was on and which direction I was going. LOL
 
They still have CD's but, not many. Nothing new anyway.
 
MY friends Kia 2014 didn't come with a CD player. I buy Cd's off of Amazon they have EVERYTHING,. MP3s are garbage they are a total insult to the Art and the artist, I listen to Tapes that my Dad recorded albums off of and man what a sound. you can burn some songs off of youtube some are a decent quality but I only do it for hard to heat songs (I am a music junkie)

the fascia flips open to play CDs, it has a aux in port so you can plug in a MP3 player AND it has a memory card slot so you can park files on a memory card, insert that and play music of off it, without the cord you would need for an MP3 player

AND it looks somewhat period correct

Yeah, I got an IPod Classic with a 120 gigs. That's more than the old lap top I have, or my Dell 8300, that STILL works. LOL Not a fan of Apple though cause they don't play well with others.
