Cap coil over tubular conversion lower control arms

I wanted to see if anyone has ever installed these on your factory K frame. I have the instructions and it says "may" require grinding to the K frame. Well I have been grinding and grinding. The arm is in and still doesnt have full travel because more metal needs to be removed. I attempted to call their tech assistance number with no return call the last two days. I sent them a detailed email with a response of "You might have to remove the LIP on the K frame."

I have no problem doing the work. It just seems like alot of work for something that claims to be "ready to bolt in". Anyone else run into this?
