I know this pic has been posted on this site a few times. But in light of the news last week about Chrysler cutting dealerships, I'm glad I did this...

This was the local dealership in my home town, Hahn & Sons Dodge in Lehighton, Pa. Grew up right up the street from it. The first car "I" bought was a 93 Dodge Shadow ES from that dealership. Mr Hahn drove to a dealership in Shippensburg himself, to pick it up for me. Great car and service.

Some time ago Mr Hahn had died and the dealership was sold to a BIG outfit in the valley. I wanted to snap a pic of my Dart infront of the dealership before they took the Hahn sign down.

NOW, the dealershipwill be gone, just one of the seven hundred something casualties of Crysler/Dodge cutting. I just wish there would have been room on the parking lot I would have pulled it in there for a different shot.

That is a nice pic. A lot of history is going to be lost with the closing of some of these places along with all the jobs that they provided for the comunitys they were in.

It's sad this is what it has come down to.
I would imagine that it will be a lot of small town dealerships that will be lost.

I dont know what the big deal is. They need to buy the cars from chrysler and resale them to the public. They are not owned by chrysler. The dealerships will not have to close. Someone will still need to service the cars and can sell new cars if they can still buy them. Also these decisions arent final. The dealers need to submit their sales and a decision will be made if sales will continue to them.
