Hello all,
I need a little help.
I need to rebuild my carb to pass emissions, but the tag with the carb number is gone. The local parts shops can't do anything without the carb number. I know there are books that list carbs by application, but my manual doesn't.

I have a 67 cuda 273 2barrel, 3 on the tree, it's not an emissions car.
The only thing useful on the carb is it's a Carter, and also says Ball&Ball.

If you have the same engine/tranny set up, or a book that lists carbs by application, please let me know what the number is.

Thanks

If your carb is truely a '67 Carter BBD for a 273 with a manual transmission the number on the tag would have been 4113SA. Although, 99.9% of the rebuild kits I have seen fit pretty much all non-emission style Carter BBD 2 barrel carbs. That's the problem with parts store help now-a-days, they are only book smart meaning they can't do anything unless it is listed in the book.

Use the 4113SA number and the kit you get will work.

Thanks for the help. They aren't even book smart anymore, just what the computer wants to spit out.
We couldn't find the 4113SA, but they did have a listing for the BBD. $12.99 at Autozone. Hope to get it rebuilt today.

I just tried the 4113SA in a computer and the number wouldn't come up either, but when I put just 4113 it came up. So if you wanted to double check your kit you could try that.
