Zombie if your going to buy a Demon carb talk to Don at FBO systmes. He'll set you up with the right one for your car and dial it in for you. He'll Probably recomend a 575cfm to you.

Hummmm....same carb I run on my 454 Motorhome towing 22,000# down the highway.

Summit has the price at $359.00, strange our price is $339.00?

Even if you don't call me call the factory to get the correct carb for the application

If he doesnt atleast call you we'll have to give him 200 lashings with a Chevy pushrod.

New update not getting the Demon,i just got a 600 Eddy from a friend,a a 650 Holely from another,an a 650 carter off my moms old cornet all rebuilt, going to run all to see what one she likes the most an mess around with them all to get them all set up just right,an if not then im just going to order a new Eddy,a friend can get me a killer deal on what ever size i need!

now tell me whats up with the 650 Carter i hav on it now,the car fired on the first crank no probs. but 15-20 sec later, she started to surge,an jump from what i though was around 900-1200 rpms at idle we all had no clue what was going on an we had two full auto freaks with the start up,an no one had any idea what was going on  but if we blip the gas she was crisp an right on tap like a healty motor, but come back down to idle an she started to surge agian,we shut her down for the night, then today i was thinking that we had the Fuel Reg. set up diff since the last run the motor had so we ran it an ajusted that an she held a strong idle at around 800-900(no tach)ran it for about 10 min.shut it down, got all happy that we fixxed it then my mom came home an she wanted to hear it so fire it back up an it starts to surge agian  so we gave up on it for today till tuesday when i hav time to put the new carbs on.So what do u guys think was going on with it?

It wont be long before they start to leak internally and it becomes a pain to get the car to start.Eddys are know for that

Otherwise they a a pretty good bolt on and go street carb.

Don cant stand them at all. LOL

What fuel pump are you running ? How much fuel pressure ? Do you have a pressure guage ?

It sounds like you have way to much fuel pressure.

I hav holley blue pump elec. 14psi on that,an a holley fuel reg. down to around 7-9 hard to tell with the car shaking like it was but it was aourond that when it was runing on the smoth idle yesterday, but like i said she was fine as soon as u blip the gas,i mean she was right on tap, better then my moms 440 even

Try lowering the pressure alittle more. The edlebrock wont take 9psi. 7 is tops. Try setting it at 5psi and go from there.

Our Carter's, 750 and 625, is working well, no leaks and response is good, gas mileage is also good, maybe they work 'cause we doesn't have multi horsepower engines in our A-Bodies... :?:

Well i set it down to about 4-5 psi, from 10psi to high but it ran yesterday, anyways she fired up after a few tries, then she died, try agian fires up then holes a good idle then dies like 2 min later,an i never get time to check timing,so i pull #1 plug bump her up to TDC,pop the cap an its pointing #1 an firing on #1 wire,so that means my timing is redy to go righ?so i gave up cuz now she wont run anymore,no noise or anything just cranks over  my dad is on his way home to figure it out.any ideas boys
MIKE

When I had Edelbrock I had a some of the same problems with it you are. What motor is this a 360? Does it have a choke? If you get the engine warm does the dying problem go away? Sounds like you have the eninge at TDC if its a 360 try getting it to atleast 10deg advanced. Also I think Edel carbs only want 5psi of gas.
