Carter AVS 4933S vs edelbrock AVS

My 1970 Swinger 340 4 speed has an Edelbrock 1406. IF I was going to change it should I go back to the original Carter or is the new Edelbrock a better carb.

AVS2. It mists rather than sprays.

The Edel AVS2 is better in two areas, compared with the original AVS.
- annular boosters in the primaries for superb throttle response
- the secondaries have boosters also, original did not. Better response etc.
