Carter Thermoquad 4bbl. carb for sale. There is no number on the base of this carb so not sure what it is. However, it is and early 70's carb (73-74-75 or so) by the looks of it. It is complete and not frozen. It will need a kit as it has been sitting a while. Rebuild, use it as a core, or for parts. $40 + shipping.

Looks like it has the small 1 3/8" primaries which makes it an 800. Probably off a small block. Pretty clean lookin. If you look at the baseplate from behind, the number should be on the back of the baseplate next to the driver's side rear bolt hole on the rear side of the baseplate corner. Is there no number there? It should be a 4000 series number if it's early 70s, which it looks to be.

4000 would only be the early cs or the 71 340's with angled idle screws, im looking for one of those. One in the pic is likely 72 & later 6000 series, like stroker said number is stamped on base. Pic shows a 4000 series note the angled idle screws and different front bowl vent, also choke linkage is off to the side on the front 4 carbs.

Can't argue with that LOL, parts jets & rods are very hard to find for the 4000 series, the best t-quads for everyday driving are the 6000 series from 72 to about 75 or so

Yep, 72 was in fact the best year for the famous Thermoquad...here's an original with 800 CFM.....you can have the radio..I'll listen to this!:-D
