The 340 never had an exterior EGR valve. That intake is for a 74 and up 318 or 360. It is not a 340 intake manifold.

I don't believe that will fit a 1978 or earlier engine with A/C. That intake came out in 1979 due to the A/C compressor change. The offset thermostat housing gives it away. I had a 1980 318 that came with this intake from the factory.

T-N-T & RRR are correct. It is a '79 + 318 or 360 intake. It will make VERY good power if so desired.
