I recently bought a 72 swinger with a 318 and a 904 trans (guy told me it was a 340/727 but thats another story) anyways the casting numbers on the engine are 4104230-318-2. the date casting is an 83. I cant seem to find out any info on this casting number so i am not sure what to tell the guy when i buy parts for it. Did it come from a truck or a car? I got an oil filter from an 83 truck with a 318 and it fits but now it leaks a little oil from it. Any info would be good i have exhausted google, and was hoping some one on here might be able to help.
