i get my chops busted all the time because i wont go get a cell phone well i just dont think i need 1 so whos got cell phones and who dont

if i didnt have a cell phone my day would not function properly

I have had one sense 03. It comes in handy some times but I could live with out it if I had to. I don't have a home phone any more. Just did not make sense to me to have one any more when I have the cell on me 24/7.

Don't have one. Probably could make my life a little easier but at 63 I've lived a long time without one! Besides, if I want anyone (including the government) to know where I am I'll tell them! As for "emergencies"? Well I've had quite a few in my lifetime and lived thru them all without a cell phone.

I have to carry one for work, all the employees have the "push to talk" set up. all anyone has to do is look up a name, push the button, and "bang" there is my next interruption!!!!!! I've been known to launch that sucker from time to time,,,,lol

I have one issued by the company that I carry all day. If I didn't have this company cell, I wouldn't own one either. My wife carry's her's with her all the time "just in case".......whatever that means.

My employer gave me a cell phone 7 years ago to use it on the job or my personal use for free. I more than likely would go out and get one if for some reason the company cell phone was no longer a option.

heres what i use in the garage its not old

When I was actively traveling, hauling cars and parts, it was a necessity.
Since it got stolen and my provider decided to be problematic about my roaming usage and dropped my service, I have a pre-paid, which absolutely SUCKS.
They are really a handy TOOL, especially if you can do Data and pics, which I used a lot with my old one.

If you have a "Simply Everything" plan with Sprint, read the fine print, "Simply Everything" doesn't mean roaming, which they limit to 800 minutes.
I was with them for 4 years and this little footnote only came up in the last year.
I roamed in my home area, which was my highest usage area, so you can guess what happened.

Mark.

Got one, use mine a lot... handy for when I'm accross the street at my aunts workin on the rampage and its dinner time, haha.

Had one, never used the damn thing, got stolen, canceled it, don't have one or the bill anymore. There is one that my work gave me that lives in my glovebox and I think the last time I used it was to call Ross from a swapmeet last month. My life worked just fine before they made cell phones and it will continue to work with out one.
If people want to talk to me they can email, call the house or show up!

Oh and anyone that give their 12 year old a cell phone should be kicked in the balls!
and again u hit the nail on the head and who could the be talking to at that age may time and temp lol

I have one only because I drive 100 miles a day for work and broke down before I got one. I also have it because I have taken my young son with be on 24 hour nonstop trips to pick up and deliver cars. The last thing I want to do is break down in the middle of a state where I dont know where anything is at when the little guy is with me. I have the smaller plan that dont cost much and my contract expired 3 years ago. They call from time to time with a new offer I just say no thanks it still works fine. It is a basic plan for calls only no texting or pics.

WOW SOME USED TO RING A BELL BACK IN THE DAY FOR SUPPER LOL

Why should they have to leave our house, walk accross the street and all the way back to the garage when they can just dial my number and tell me to get my butt back home to eat?

Personally, I think cell phones are great... just not for young kids or while people are driving... or in school. I pay for my own bill anyway.

My parents gave me and my brother one when I was 15 or so, him 14. I used the phone for maybe 5 minutes a month until I was around 17. I started working, using the phone more, paid my mom for the plan, and have been using it since. I like what I have now, I have a phone that takes decent pictures, and can browse the internet. When I get breaks at work I can't get on a computer, but I can use my phone to browse the boards!!

couldnt function without my i phone and have nextel for work. use about 800 minutes a month

if you had kids youd understand. both parents work, gotta get ahold of the kid to let her know who,s picking her up. and i like to be in touch with my kids.I like kids.

Cell phones to me represent one of the best and worst inventions all wrapped up in one. My girlfriend has two and attaches one to me when I leave only to call me at the most inopportune time. They are very useful but I`m really put off by the people who have one surgically implanted and can`t change their mind without calling someone to do so.
