changing carrier questions.

ok, so i'm most likely doing a gear swap by myself, but i got my 8.25 rear end yesterday and it appears to have 3.23 or 3.55 gears in it (havnt opened it up yet) if it does, and i wanted to put in my sure grip carrier do i have to re-shim anything? or would it be fine if i just swapped carriers?

The carrier uses threaded side adjusters like an 8 3/4 so don't need shims. You just set the backlash so it is correct and lock the adjusters in place.

hmm, so it should be a swap in a day? wish me luck. i'll read up on it some more before i tackle it.
