Thanks for the support guys, I'll try it again next year. It was a good day, although I had a hard time getting the car to cut a good light early on...the roll out must be slightly different from my home track. I had to really work the stripe for 2 of the round wins because I was behind on the tree. Track prep was great, I had the car dialed 6.78 or 6.77 all day, 60' times were 1.45 all day. Here's the details if you're interested.
Rd1, I dialed 6.78 to his 6.26, I was .046 to his .030, I lifted too much, ran 6.80 and gave away the stripe and lost a win-able race to the guy that later won the whole event and got the Wally #-o.
Rd2, Bought back in, dialed 6.78 to his 6.40 (current track champ), I was .023 to his .014, but I managed play the finish line and run dead on with a 6 scrubbing 4 mph

Rd3, Dialed 6.78 to his 6.40, I was behind again on the tree #-o .039 to his .030, but worked the stripe to take the W running 1 over scrubbing 7 mph

Rd4, Knowing my car was capable of much faster than 6.78, I dropped my dial to 6.77 to his 7.37. I was .000 (perfect!!!) to his .110....not much to say there, I slowed down a crap load and took a comfortable amount of stripe.
Rd5, Got a bye run thanks to the triple zero light and decided to see if I could make the car run what I dialed. I dialed 6.77 and ran 6.77 with a 0...looking good!
Rd6, dialed 6.77 to his 6.83, I was .025 to his .044, I womped too many times, scrubbed 7 mph and let him back around me by .002 #-o :banghead: :violent1:. I ran 6.798 and he ran dead on with an 8.
For those that are wondering, my car was capable of running 6.75 all day, I just didn't let it by changed shift points and playing the stripe. Since I don't race at this track very often I had to leave a little in the bank in-case the starting line went away. Being a "small tire" guy, it's just what I have to do sometimes, that way I would still have a chance to win if the car spins.....it's all part of the sport that is bracket racing.
