Everything I've read about converting to blow through, the very first thing listed to do is mill the choke horn off. Why is this necessary? I could understand it might pick a few CFM without it, but does it HAVE to be done? I get removing the choke and plugging the linkage hole. But can the choke horn remain?

I can see it being more significant in a forced induction situation. But I aint ****.

It seems like the choke tower can create an imbalance in air flow and/or booster signal between the primaries & secondaries. While the difference may be small and obviously works in OEM configuration, forced induction may magnify the situation to an unacceptable level.
Calling some turbo manufacturers may provide conclusive answers.
