Right along I80. Kinda neat to drive by there at night with the newest on display sitting on a giant pentastar in the lawn all lit up under a huge American flag.

My Dad retired from the old Toledo Jeep plant, it has been completely torn down now. It was the old Willys plant, then AMC.

I absolutely love the A body mopars. It has been my life for the last 20+ years. My 96 year old granddad once said....don't by a dodge they don't run in the rain. Working inside the automotive industry Chrysler has some major problems right now....You currently hear about Toyota but Chrysler let all their good talent go over the last few years to get rid of their overhead. If you think a second rate European company like Fiat will save them they won't. I hate to see them go but I wouldn't buy any stock in them if it becomes public.......

That plant on I80 is Chrysler Machining, they make steering coloms and torque converters. The Jeep plant is located on I75 and 280 interchange.

All that is left is the powerhouse stack, it still says Willys on it. I worked there many years as a contractor all over that plant. I may have seen your dad working there.

I got a boiler gauge from the 1920's and a Willys Overland fire dept. alarm box when they tore the plant down.

I worked for Davidson Crane and Conveyor which was also a contractor at the plant, small world.
