We do some drag racing with our 71 Nova, runs low 10,s. But don’t see many posts on circle track cars. I built and my son drove a Dodge Daytona in a Modified 4 cylinder class at our local 3/8 mile asphalt Oval. The track is very quick, 12 degree banking in the corners and 6 on the straights.
The cars are like JR late models with coil over adjustable suspension front and rear.
The car is front wheel drive with a 2.2 motor. The front wheel drive cars did so well they put a little weight on us to slow us down. Got more money in the motor than I want to think about. The pistons, rod, cam, crank are all one of a kind. Lots of head work and with14:1 compression it would get off of the corners pretty good. We do not race any more, my son / drive has moved on and started his own business..
I now cruise in our 66 Valiant and 67 Coronet, both convertibles.
