I just istalled my Spitfires, pretty easy, (thanks for the filter adapter Scott), with one issue. Back of the driver side the header touches the steering colomn. I will be changing the colomn to a proper floor shift colomn when I find one. Will that change things? what are the fixes, do I just hammer a dimple in the pipe and be done with it?

The outer collar of the steering column can be cut back about 3".

Wally,it,s easiest to get under the dash and undo the 3 bolts on the column plate, then pull the column back enough for clearance, retighten bolts.

Wally,I had 2 1/2 inch pipe welded on the end of the hedders and brought down between the torsion bars and frame, then the collector flange added. It made it so much easier to remove the hedders for tranny removal and such.Just a thought.

Yup , I plan on taking the car to JPG in the spring, they did a nice job on your car when you had these.
