[WANTED] Clifford Shorties

-
Be advised the Clifford shorties do not fit well in the 66 and older "A" bodies with power steering. In many cases the front collector hits the power steering box, and if it doesn't it is extremely close. I usually cut a "fishmouth" notch in the front three tubes and bend them up, so the front collector is higher.

Not that I am aware of. When Jack Clifford had the company, he had about 6 or 7 different headers for the slant, depending on the body style. Aussie speed has some headers available, but I don't know how they fit on the 225 in a "early" "A" body. I know on a 170 they hang very low.

I very much appreciate your help. Sounds like the notch option is the best way to go. Got a friend who is an excellent welder so doable for me. Thanks so much for taking time to reach out on this. Very helpful.

I have the same problem on my cars. But I have 170 engines (mostly) which are shorter, and manual steering. To make them fit with a 170 and power steering needs a bigger modification
