Yay for regular maintenance. I was checking my valves and found a rocker that was very loose....like 90 thousands loose. I found the culprit.....looks like I'll be ordering a new pushrod.

That thing got HOT! I agree with mike, that doesn't look like it got lubed much.

The adjuster looks a little worn, so I'm going to replace it too. I need to investigate further to find out why this guy got so hot (obvious lack of oil, but why). I have 3 other push rods that are showing some bluing of the metal that I'm going to replace as well....and the race season starts in a couple weeks...:coffee2:...I'll be calling Smith Brothers today.

Kudos to Smith Brothers pushrods. I ordered 4 more custom pushrods and adjusters at 4:15 this afternoon, and they made them and shipped them SAME DAY! Granted I'm on east coast time and they are on Pacific time, but still, awesome customer service
