Pulled my instrument cluster, Now i have no ignition power. I have one red constant hot wire that was bolted to the amp gage. The ignition switch isn't fed by the instrument cluster is it, that would seem backwards. The red, hot wire mentioned is the only wire I removed besides the amp ground and cluster plug ins.
 
The 2 wires on the back of the Amp gauge need to be attached together to have power without the cluster installed. The amp gauge is attached in series with the main power wire, there is no ground.
 
It may seem obvious but make sure you insulate those two real well one you connect them together so they can't short to ground...that would be bad.
