I`ll have to modify the clutch fork and make it shorter.
(cause it`s hitting the headers pipe)cut it in two and weld it.
I wonder if any of you guys knows what kind of material the fork is made of
stainless steel or plain iron or.... ?
Had a look at Brewers site but couldn`t find any info of the material.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Call Brewers, their knowledge is impeccable.

Have your trans case # handy, and know what kind of car it came out of, also what bellhousing# you are using.

This may give them something to go on and maybe they have the fork just for you as their website does not have technical solutions for different applications but they have always been able to steer me in the clear with the right parts/info.

Some forks are aluminum, some are mild steel.
If a magnet sticks to it, it's mild steel and very weldable.
I've never seen them in cast iron, but I would call Wayne.

Thanks cudaspaz
Didn`t think of the magnet trick, made it and it sure did stick to the fork.

I bought the fork and z-bar with linkage for my -67 Barracuda bigblock
from Brewers about two years ago.
Have had the engine rebuilt and bought a set of tti headers instead of the manifolds, with the thought that it would work in my -67 A-body 383 4-speed
And then I read about the release of the new z-bar for a-bodies with tti headers. So there is where I am today. :banghead:
But, if there`s a will there`s a way.
Thanks again, you`ve made my day.

This weekends work so far.
In the work to modify the Z-bar for my bigblock with headers.
Made a new bracket for the clutch fork rod. Is going to be welded tomorrow
I also made the clutch fork 5/16" shorter to make it clear cylinder #7 headers tube.
