Edit: Looks like I just need the 130 tooth flywheel for (273 application would be neutral balance right?) 10 1/2 inch.

CE

Hey All,

Looking for everything that goes between the trans and the engine for a 273 mated to an 833 o/d trans. (already have bell)

Need clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and flywheel (neutral balance). Used is fine b/c this is just temporary until I do my 5.9 EFI upgrade.

Thanks,

CE

I was in the local Summit Store about 6 weeks ago and looked through their scratch/dent/return area. Usually it's Chevy and Ford junk but this time I found a Summit brand 10-1/2" clutch kit shrink wrapped and marked down to $40. I thought about it for a while as I did the rest of my shopping and finally wheeled my cart over there and threw it in.

Cashier told me the total cost for everything and I though to myself there must be some mistake. I didn't say anything and just gave her my credit card. When I had everything in the car I checked the receipt and saw the close-out price of the clutch was 10% of $40.

Yep, new clutch including cover, disc, TO bearing and installation tool for $4!

After all these years I finally got a deal.

New clutch kits can be had for around 100 bucks for a decent name brand. How cheap do you think you are going to get something including shipping?

I assume the flywheel tooth count you need is 130?

Brand new from Oreilly. 101 bucks.

Ha! had no idea you could get all that for $100.

Guess all I'd need is a flywheel then. Yeah 130 tooth, for V8 273 (I think all the crank bolt patterns were the same on those).
