coil question

I found the wires to the coil are on wrong on a 65 dart I got a few weeks back. The positive wire was on the neg. side and neg. on the pos. Would this have hurt the coil. Never seen this before and the car ran ok.

Ya that would make a big difference, performance wise, because you wont get the proper spark

Coil is probably OK, but it won't deliver as hot a spark with the leads backwards.
