Color Code Sequence

Not sure if 70 Duster is the same but 69 Dart is


FRONT

tan--------------------purple

med. green-------------purple

med. blue--------------purple

tan--------------------black

purple-----------------purple

REAR

I can try and check my 71 Dart if that helps
 
!!!! THATS HOW THEY GO BACK IN!!!! LOL I made the dumbass mistake of removing them without noting what one went where in Nikkis 72 scamp. I have been racking my brain trying to get it right before I lay out the new headliner.
 
I just went out and looked at the bows for the 72 scamp and I have

Purple-----------Dark blue
Light blue--------Purple
Light blue--------Purple
Green----------- Purple
Green----------- Purple

Im confused again. #-o
 
I'll look tomorrow and see what the colors are on mine. Mine were out when I got it so I don't have a clue.
 
I'll look at my Dart but I think the headliners still up for the most part.
 
I started pulling my headliner out tonight. I'll have most of the bows for you tomorrow. Unfortunately I am missing the first 2 bows. They had to be removed to put the ugly sun roof in. Yuk.
 
Ughhh, I had a 70 challenger with a slant six that some dillrod put a sunroof in with a jigsaw and a hot glue gun.
 
I wish they used hot glue. This thing has a 1" bead of window Urethane ! I dont know how Im gonna get it out short of cutting a bigger hole. Thank god its a Vinyl roof car.

If you come up short on info, when I pulled my headliner I left the bows in. Getting ready to put a new one in so I could check. Didn't even realize they were color coded.
 
At this point any info would help even if dusters aren't the same as darts or scamps at least the info will be out there for the next guy.
 
Okay, here's what I've got on my '70 Duster - left and right, front to rear.

1. Lt. Green - Orange
2. Lt. Green - Tan
3. Lt. Green - Brown
4. Pink - Lt. Green
5. Lt. Green - Yellow
6. Dk. Green - Brown
 
Got mine out and whoever took mine apart marked them. Here's mine.

Front
1. Green - Orange
2. Green - Tan
3. Green - Brown
4. Pink - Green
5. Green - Yellow
6. Green - Brown - I guess this could have been red at some point but it looks like the same color as #3

I don't really understand why there is a left and right. The bows look like they're bent the same on both ends. But I'll but them back like they came out. Just in case.
 
Yeah, I can't see why there'd be a left or right either - but like you said, just in case. Maybe it's voodoo. A couple of the colors, like pink, were hard to make out. Most of the paint was missing. After a second look I think you're right - it's brown, not red. I'll change my list above. Bow #6 is longest regardless of color. :)
