I know a local guy who's operated his own machine shop for years and is a mopar advocate. While glancing at his racks loaded with heads I queried about a better pair for my 273. He said "H*ll, why just heads? I've got a complete '72 318 setting up top there, just needs a rebuild." He then told me about all the mopar engines/blocks he has in dry storage at his place in the country. He also has a built 318 he kept out of his old work truck, that got me interested. The guy is meticulous about his work.

Nice, 318 is a good motor

can't remember which year they stopped the full floating pistons and forged crank, it was the 230hp 2 barrel motor I think till '72
