Console and dash colour

Has anyone painted their dash and console inset a darker silver, like an argent silver?
I thought a darker silver might look good and stand out better against the chrome

Mopar Performance silver P4529876. I used black trim tape from Canadian Tire for the center stripe.

Are the vertical sides of the console insert painted too? Most of the paint is gone from my insert.

Thanks, no the vertical sides were chromed. Paint only on the horizontal surface.
