console decal

I am looking at an item on ebay from Route 66 restorations
Item number: 310126213112 it is a wood grain console decal for my Fish. Anyone had experience with this before??
Just want to smarten up the console some what.I have some pitting on the chrome is there any way to fix that up short of re chroming?

Looks like the price is right, I did a 73 challenger and used the cheep stuff you can buy, I think they call it contact paper wood grain with sticky on the back. It turned out nice but don't let a hot ash hit it.
There's may be allot better and thicker material.
I did this to a four speed console cover that was cracked and used fiber glass and metal on the back.

Just thought I would share eh!
