Console fit right?

Set the console in the dart after the shifter install. Seems to have large gap bigger on drivers side. Like an overhang. I know the carpet takes up some of the gap and then the carpet on the consol helps. Double and triple checked the shifter location it’s spot on with factory dimples etc. bottom line. Is this normal looking? ( not bolted and brackets not on yet either )

Yes, it should be that way.
The console is centered in the car, measure to the doors and see how it looks.

It will look a LOT better when there is carpet around the bottom of the console and on the floor.
