[FOR SALE] Console tach

I have two console tach's for sale. One is very nice with just a few small flaws and the other not as nice, they both have bases for them. The nicer one is $525 and the other is $350 plus shipping. First set of pic's is the nice one last 3 are the other. Tach #2 in the last three pics is sold!

I can only check the light now because the water pump pulley is out getting powder coated, The lights work on both of them.

Do they work?

Test the tach with a "D" size battery...take yellow wire and touch "+" side of D-cell battery, take black wire and connect to "-" side of D-cell battery, needle should move to around 2,000 RPM and hold steady...if it does not move, it's dead

That sounds great but the wire colors are black /ground orange /Light violet /power and green / trigger from what I read.

Well, its only 1.5 volts (shouldn’t hurt anything), so try both violet and green... one should work. Black will be ground(-) regardless.

Good luck finding just the base. I looked for years, then had one made out of billet aluminum......

So I guess I'm just wondering if the base 4 speedin has on the better of the two techs is factory and what its supposed to look like. That's a nice Billet base though

Dickie...yes OP's is original, and hard to find.

Sorry Mike...just trying to save prospective purchaser the frustration of getting his hopes up of finding a used one.
