1966 Dodge A 100 van, continuous white exhaust smoke. Van runs well, but can't get the smoke to stop.

Placed seafoam in engine roughly 80 miles ago, to clean out the engine, fuel tank, etc.. It was supposed to clear up after 30-50 miles, but the smoke continues. :???:

Any suggestions? Thank you

Check the engine coolant in your radiator to make sure it's not low...

White smoke from the exhaust is typically from water/coolant leaks into the cylinder...

Head gasket, water jacket, Intake manifold gasket, etc...

Pressure check the radiator and cooling system and check for leaks.

Is the oil light brown/white and milky? Another sign of coolant in the engine getting in the crank case...

Maybe do a compression check to see if the head gasket is leaking. Do a dry test, then a wet test with 2-3 squirts of oil in the spark plug hole and retest. Check to see if the readings are much higher wet vs dry and look for a pattern on the layout of the cylinders for the low ones... (Ie. a head gasket leaking between 2 cylinders would make them both low..)

Is it totally white, or does it have a very light blue tint? Any light blue indicates oil being burned. The two are easily kornfrooshed.

Also, I have sea foamed cars in the past and sometimes it takes a while for them to stop smoking. Did you suck it in through a vacuum hose or dump it down the carburetor?

Head gasket, especially if it is thick white like a smoke machine at a rock concert, worse cases you can smell anti freeze standing behind the car coming from exhaust
