Think I may finally have the /6 sold. Fella was wondering if I was willing to part with the spark control and regulator boxes with thier associated wiring so he can upgrade his '66 to electronic ignition. I'm just wondering if I'm going to need the /6 harness when I slide a small block between the fenders or if it's completely different and should just go with a new V8 harness from Painless or some such. Car is a '74 Swinger. Are the spark and regulator boxes for a V8 different too or will the /6 pieces work? I'm thinking no but just wanted to be sure. Thanks.

The control units are the same and the wireing can be used from the /6 no changes are required.

I dont think I'd give away the whole harness...I dont think it will plug onto a 66 anyway, and the senders and ign. stuff is longer on a /6, so you can just shorten the leads and run them on the V8. Like BJR said, all the modules will work with any engine, but the rest of the stuff will need to be modified. Of course, you could just buy the V8 engine harness, and a new headlight/front end harness..That has the voltage regulator, module, resistor, and stuff on it IIRC, and that's what he's asking for
