converter install

How far into the back of a crank should the hub of a converter go? I've always just bolted em up. Thanks!

Had it all down,and it got lost in cyberspace. Quicky this time. 69 dart,500" wedge,big roller,dominator,Indy-1 heads,torqueflight w/8" converter,Dana 60 w/4.88 gear,14-32 tires. 3100 lbs. Think I will use hardened washers 0.020 thick so I can at least break in this motor. Car been sitting way to long. Left out that the converter mounting lugs are about 0.020 shy of the flexplate. Converter and flexplate (ATI) have assembled just fine behind other motors.
