I have a 367 with a 904 trans, that has been balanced by the machine shop, with a new balancer and a B&M flexplate. What kind of Torque converter can I use? I know I don't need a balanced converter now, but can I use one designed for a 318? My flex plate has both bolt patterns, and the splines are the same. Trying to get around 2500 stall on the cheep. Was thinking of going with the Mopar one from Mancini, maybe the higher stall stock replacement from my local parts store. the Magnum headed 367 should be around 400 hp.Thanks

With the dual bolt pattern you can run any size convertor.A small block likes the higher stall convetor to get into the power range quicker.A 2500 -3000 can be a very good convertor if the motor is set up for a good amount of HP.Make sure though, you have a tranny cooler as big as possible to cooler the extra heat from the extra slippage of the convertor.Mrmopartech
