FYI: The International Space Station travels in orbit around Earth at a speed of 17,500 miles per hour (that's about 5 miles per second!). This means that the Space Station orbits Earth (and sees a sunrise) once every 92 minutes!
Space Station flying over and through the Northern Lights.
The flashes are not the Northern Lights, they are lightning, according to the writing under the picture.
You'll recognize the Northern Lights when they come into sight.
The whole thing is just awesome.

Very cool, thanks for the link! tmm

Very nice.

Not far off from sci-fi "orbit" scenes at all.
