I recently changed header gaskets on my 360 an had coolant leaking (gushing) out of the back bolt hole on one side only. There was obviously one head that was replaced before i aquired the motor, and that was the one which leaked..the other side didnt...after bolting everything back up it seems to be fine. Is this something thats common??

Yes. The end exhaust bolts are drilled right into the water jacket. This is how it came from the factory! Just put a little thread sealant on the threads if you start to lose coolant and see no leaks (it'll burn off on the exhaust).

Yep, normal. Just make sure you arent trying to stick a RTV'd bolt into a hole with coolant still coming out of it. Nothin out of the norm.

I use high temp teflon sealant, some guys use high temp silicone. Either should work. Goody's right, make sure it's dry first.

Use studs with liquid teflone sealer on the last two exhaust holes, and your good to go. Never again worry about loosing coolant. Also makes it easier to 'hang' the gasket and headers onto when installing them. Terry.
