Coolant leak (timing chain cover?)

1964 dart with 273, had coolant leak after short drive looked for source of leak and seen crack in timing chain cover attached a pic you can see crack above fuel pump. My question, would this be the source Of leak? My thought was unless thread sealer is compromised it shouldn’t leak coolant. Appreciate any help

That is a casting line.

The 4 long water pump bolt threads need to be sealed with Aviation Sealer as they go into the water jacket.

Also the lower 2 bolts on the driver's side where power steering bracket mounts to block.

Extream Warning, do not use too long of bolts on the 2 lower driver's front bolts or you can punch them through #1 cylinder wall and destroy your block.

External leak? Internal leak? Either way, if it's coming from the cover, you need to pull it and inspect for corrosion and/or cracks.
