My car came with a 2 groove pulley alternator (my car has no a/c).
My Mopar mechanic said that sometimes it came from factory
that way on 340's...is this correct?

I think it should be a single groove. After 40 years the chances are good it has had one or more replacement alternators. This is how changes like this usually happen.

Is your engine compartment correct?
If so, when you have the time, would you mind posting pics for ref.?

Thanks for all your help so far!

Mine is getting close but it isn't reference material. Im taking it back to "Mostly Correct". I want the right parts in the right location but I don't care if i have correct bolt heads or all that other 100 point show car stuff.

If you scroll through this link you will find some reference pics of 340s. They are 69 I think but other than valve covers they are very close.
