What is the Correct carb gasket for an Eddie LD340 and a new AVS 2 carb?
New carb came with an open gasket, vs 4 openings gasket on a stock square bore carb and manifold.AVS2 is a square bore carb like original AVS
The LD340 is a dual plane plenum with a small notch between the plenum divider. Is an open gasket correct for this application?
I was looking at a gasket like the one I posted below as more appropriate. Thoughts please!

Yup- with the notch I'd go with an open gasket, and the thicker the better to help avoid fuel bowl percolation. The one you pictured looks nice and thick, and has metal or plastic inserts for the carb studs; I'd just go for the open version.

I would use the gasket supplied. Cut out the divider in the gasket to make it an open style gasket. If you leave the divider in place, it is unsupported where the notch in the intake is. If you have a backfire, it could blow out that section of the gasket........

Square bore gasket without the divider, you can order them from any auto parts store, or cut one out of thick gasket paper.
