#1 I am looking for a carb recomendation. 70 duster 340 10.5-1 comp. big valve 915 j heads gasket matched tti headers mp 509 lift mech cam and edelbrock performer dual plane.

#2 the intake doesnt cover what I think is the exhaust crossover, the gasket covers it but the intake doesnt. Is this a problem?

#3 Last question I promise (for now) does anyone know what my valve lash with the mopar performance 509 mechanical cam and ductile iron adjustable rockes should be?

Thanks guys
Ron

1 750 holley double pumper

2 not a problem

3 if you have a .509 cam its hydraulic not mechanical.

it is mechanical not hyd. and mp did make a 509 mechanical years back

You did say 509 mech in your first post, must have missed it. I will look in my engine manual tonight and see if they show a lash setting for that cam. I'm guessing though by then someone else will have that spec for you.

1; &50 cfm, the mentioned carb for sale is a 3310. Good all around performer.
The Performer intake should be dumped to the nearest 318 or fishing hook/anchor. It is NOT for your engine. It is NOT up to the performance specs.

2; Was properly answered. No problem. What you see is not the exhaust cross over uncovered. It is of no concern.

3; That is what the catologs say to lash at. I would follow that.

Some cams have a pretty wide lash. I have an old Crane cam and it is the same .028/.032 but my roller in my drag car is .020/.022, it just depends on the grind.

1. 750dp
2. Get rid of the performer and pick up a performer RPM…your current intake does not match that combo….and yes the gasket covering the crossover is fine.
3. Try the recommendation from the spec card, then experiment with tightening up the lash at the dragstrip for optimal performance.
