Crank balancer

Now that I got a 1970 340 to build up..... it has a forged crank. Does that crank take a harmonic (I guess that means external) balancer. Am I correct that a cast balancer off a 340 will not work on a forged crank? Thanx for the help. Tom

units they are internal balanced and the convertor will need to nmatch the early 273, 318, 340 forged crank engines too.
